The drinks and food were great and the server was wonderful- very attentive and quick to take care of us even though she was extremely busy. We were looking to find somewhere to watch the Pacers/UKC game while in town and they had plenty of tvs and a great crowd to cheer along with. Can’t wait to come back on our next trip to South Haven!

Definitely the place to go when in the South Haven maritime district. Seating outside when it's warmer provides a great relaxing atmosphere with a view down the road of the lake a lighthouse. Southwest steak bites are a favorite. Always great drink selections and service.

Nice downtown Tavern has a little bit of an Irish feel My Ruben was subpar, kind of bland deli meat style I wouldn’t get it again. In the past, I’ve had the Philly. It was good. I’ve also had the Italian beef, which is good. This time my girl had the Philly cheesesteak fries They were good little heavy on the extremely orange cheese for our liking, but they were good. The chicken BBQ nachos are good . We always enjoy our visit at the Black River Tavern. See you next time , the sidewalk patio is always a nice place to sit when the weather permits . Cheers.

Atmosphere out the door. You can see the South Haven lighthouse as you walk in the door. Excellent food choices. C the menu in pictures. I got the perch wrap with veggies. Nice little afterburn with spices. You could actually taste the perch. It came with house chips. My wife got the fried chicken salad and she said it was very tasty. Staff friendly and attentive. Worth every penny.

Most excellent Gyros and outdoor dining space where our dog was able lay beside us while we ate. And the view of the bay - WOW!

We came in from a bike ride and by the time we were seated our server had waters on the table. It's rare that a server anticipates needs so quickly. Food was exceptionally good. Southwest wrap, Caesar Salad, Brussel Sprouts, and Pretzel Bites and Feta spread. All good. Very busy Saturday before Memorial Day but we got in and out quickly because we weren't waiting for outside seating. Even when there was a misunderstanding about my pretzels, which was probably my fault, our server was pleasant, and when my husband accidentally restarted the charge card portal, he was kind. We loved the vibe here, with lots of age diversity from older to folks to couples to people hanging out at the bar to watch sports.

Great place to watch a game or people watch. Great food. Indoor and outdoor seating. I had a burger on toasted sour dough that was out of this world. Pretzel sticks were on point. Super cute atmosphere
